I recently visited Takie at Glebe's Toxteth Hotel for a chat about the colourful art she is becoming increasingly popular for. Currently in the middle of a residency at the hotel's Tate studios, under the auspices of curator Chris Loutfy, Takie will produce a body of work to be exhibited at the Tate gallery in the coming weeks.
Below are photos I took while she was at work. I told Takie that I admire how she continues to get paste-ups on the streets even while her career as an exhibiting artist takes off.
