Ben Frost exhibition, Shooting Gallery

Ben Frost recently had an exhibition at Shooting Gallery in which he bagged McDonald's (who I often bag) while touting the Psychoanalytic virtues of Hentai.

I predict the merging of cartoons with p-rn as the inevitable direction entertainment is headed. Sometimes I worry about us. Weird people read this blog. But remember - ur spesh 2 me.

Beastman designs art for Smirnoff

Sydney street artist Beastman has caught the attention of vodka brand Smirnoff, producing artwork for a limited edition bottle design released this month.

The campaign is a clear sign of both his work's mainstream crossover qualities and an established popularity among the brand's target demographic.

An ad featuring his work is currently rolling around on Sydney buses.

Sydney artists Vexta and Ben Frost were among four artists who also hand-painted Smirnoff bottles for an aBMUSH Gallery charity auction. Vexta's raised more than $700 for Borneo Orangutan Survival Australia.

This is an Anthony Lister sculpture of a partially naked Batman roped up to an H-beam. There is no subliminal message here - it is a direct juxtaposition of Batman's heroic iconography with that of a helpless little bitch.

I met Ben Frost yesterday. I saw him, I said hi. We smoked menthol cigarettes in the rain. We talked about street art and San Francisco and his Pastemodernism project (pictured).

Frost was hanging with Vexta. She's a cool lady. We spoke about New York and her beautiful mural on Cockatoo Island (pictured). If only these moments would last a longer.

Anthony Lister Bogan Paradise

Australian-American-Australian artist Anthony Lister recently unveiled a new exhibition at a derelict sex shop in Sydney.

I haven't seen Bogan Paradise yet, but his exhibition sort of looks like a commentary on the state of Australian culture[lessness].

It features panels like the one above, along with a dilapidated interior design, to show Lister's views on the beer-slurping, choke-on-a-bong f-ckin' c-unts Aussies can be [in rural Queensland].
